Graphic Novel Review: Batman/Superman, Volume 6: Universe's Finest

My favorite superhero is Batman and the best Batman is the one who banters with Superman. In this collection of Superman/Batman we are presented with three stories: The first one is AMAZING. I give it 5 stars! One of the best Batman/Superman stories I've read. It's the reason why I love Batman so much. Cool! Highly recommended. The second story was HORRIBLE. I give it 1 star... See, as I understand it, the graphic novel collects the issues of Batman/Superman as a monthly title, and it just so happened that they had a crossover and that meant that part of the story continued in a different title. To avoid publishing the other title, they simply wrote a one or two paragraph description of what happened in it. Then, before we knew what happened at the end... it just ended... That made no sense to me at all. Next time, they should just NOT publish any of the crossover issues. Gee. Then the third story was interesting. I give it 4 stars. Superman's bad guys ...

Book Review: Rogue Wave

I LOVE THIS SERIES! The Waterfire Saga is a MUST read! I am having the best time with it!  Rogue Wave is the second book (out of 4, I believe) and it was just as amazing as the first. I was a little afraid to read it because sometimes when you get a super action packed book one, book two misses on the action. But not Rogue Wave. The story of these six mermaids flows naturally. I don't feel like the story is forced at all. On the contrary, everything that happens HAS to happen and in the end the story becomes more complex and yet more interesting. I like it this way because sometimes authors will abuse their story for $$ (like Eragon), but I don't feel that with this series. I am now a lifetime fan of Jennifer Connelly! I can't wait to start book 3. Here's my book 1 (Deep Blue) review and here it is on Amazon in case you missed it: cheers!

Book Review: The Snowden Files

Image
I've never really been interested in politics until these recent months - and I don't think I'm alone. I picked up this book because I saw the preview of the movie and it looked like an interesting story to read. This is a non-fiction book that reads a little like a fiction book. The story of Edward Snowden is interesting and food for thought, but to be honest, I found the many names and acronyms a little hard to follow.  I could have learned about the same about his story from a quick search on the net.  I still found the book to be pretty impartial, it didn't really take any sides. It just gave all points of view and let the reader come up with his own judgement, but it couldn't have been shorter. cheers!
