Book Review: The Cleaner

I read this book because of who the author is.

Mark Dawson is the creator of SPF University, the school of thought I follow when it comes to independently publishing books. I have bought many of the courses he offers, and even if they haven't worked for me and my genre yet, I don't loose hope.

I respect him and thank him for sharing what has worked for him.

I know he makes a lot of money selling his books, so when he released a special edition of his first in series, The Cleaner, I couldn't resist.

Now, he lives in the UK and I live in the US, but he was kind enough to send us American peeps his book. I paid for it, of course, and it arrived signed by him. It made me happy.

Finally, I sat down and read it.

I confess it isn't the great book. It wasn't what I thought it was about, either. But it gave me hope that his first book wasn't that great and he is still very, very successful in the industry. Maybe that can happen to me too (or maybe not, whatever right? 😜)

The book is well edited and perhaps a little slow in the beginning. The ending is not as exciting as I hoped it would have been. But I'm sure it's the beginning of a wonderful series after Mr. Dawson gather experienced and began to write what his readers needed.

Cheers to you, Mr. Dawson. And thank you!

Claudia
