Book Review: Matched (#1)

  I was excited about the premise of this book. So I took a chance and started the trilogy thinking I would finish it whatever happened. It's a bit of a big deal because I rarely take on series at all. I do, but they have to be worth it and they have to be short. I don't think I could ever again read a 7 part book like the Harry Potter series, if you know what I mean. Life is short and is only getting shorter. The first book in the Matched series was interesting at first. The post-apocalyptic world intrigued me. The character started off as a part of the normal and slowly became an anomaly due to several things that happened in the story. But then... nothing really happened. She never really "fought" to be free. I felt like I kept waiting for something to happen. And I guess it did. Something happened. Something not that exciting. And that was the end of the book.
