Book Review: Later

My husband can't read paperbacks anymore because of the letter size, so all Stephen King books we have on the Kindle. I had two Stephen King books on my TBR pile for this year and Later was one of them. I didn't really know what it was about, and I dug in hoping to be surprised.

I really enjoyed the book. Stephen King truly is the master. His style of writing is wonderful and unique. This story was told in first person, as the main character tells about what happened throughout his life.

The story is about a boy who can see dead people, but don't think it's anything like The Sixth Sense. The story was great, overall, and I could tell it was well planned, but as recent Stephen King novels, the ending wasn't what it could have been.

I have to admit the ending wasn't bad, and although it was a bit open-ended, it kinda makes sense in a way, because usually he makes up the most unbelievable endings (or he has been lately, at least), and although not everything was explained in this book . . . it is best left to your imagination (or maybe a sequel).

Either way  . . . Later did not disappoint, and I highly recommend it.

Cheers!
