Book Review: The Ballad of Never After

 

The sequel to the amazing Once Upon a Broken heart by Stephanie Garber was just as amazing as the first book. It was filled twists and surprises. This time, we got a bit more backstory on the Valors and the Vallory Arch finally opens.

I wish I could say more. If I don't give spoilers, then I can tell you that I was in shock by the last chapter, and all I could say was: "This can't be the end!"

And it won't. Phew! I just read Stephanie Garber's comment on Instagram where she says that this story is not over. She also says that, although she knows exactly the events that need to happen, she hasn't decided on the ending yet.

I am, of course, on team Jacks-Evangeline, but we'll see what the master of twists and turns gives us for a finale. She's still writing this story, and I can only assume it'll be a while until I can get my hands on it and read it.

In the meantime, there are other things to read, write, and video games to play.
