Book Review: Verity
What a rollercoaster of a book. I've heard about this book from several people. About Coleen Hoover in general and how great her books were. But whenever I read the descriptions of her books I was turned off by the themes. I don't like tragic stories mostly. And I heat reading about injustice. That's what I read the books were about. But my co-worker continued to insist and the book she said I should read about her was Verity. And so I eventually go to it. I must say that the book starts weird, with an event that apparently makes no sense, but a good hook. Then we meet the characters and everything looks fine. Until it isn't. There are horrible scenes about a person doing horrible things to her spouse and children. So much that I decided NOT to recommend the book to my teenage daughter (who reads about everything she can get her hands on). I read on anyway, and the ending was completely worth it.
