Videogame Review: Shadow of the Tomb Raider
I don't know what to say except for, WOW!
The third installment of the Lara Croft series is the best one yet. I had my reservations in the beginning, especially because it took me forever to kill the first panther I needed to kill after coming out of a hole, but that was only a one time thing. I did struggled sometimes with other scenarios, but I actually developed strategies, can you believe it? Without looking at a guide!
This game is A LOT about stealth, which I enjoyed. The other two games had stealth, too, but it felt like this one was more like you NEEDED to kill the enemies while the rest weren't looking if you wanted to continue on the quests. The story was good and I loved all that culture all around and the fact that I could get the NPC to speak in their native tongue. Pretty cool!
The gameplay was great. Still looks like an action movie all the time. It's phenomenal. I only missed my fire arrows, which I had, but since they aren't as important I didn't get that many. I really liked them in Rise of the Tomb Raider.
After three games of watching Lara Croft go from an archeologist to a serial killer, I must say that she has some serious issues. I doubt if she'll ever have a normal life. She'll need intensive therapy. Alas, she brought me many hours of fun. Keep being awesome, Lara!
Cheers!
