Book Review: Crossed (Matched #2)
Crossed is the second book in the Matched series by Ally Condie. I enjoyed the first book enough to continue with this series. I was a bit disappointed by the plot and flow of the second chapter. The story is a bit slow and not much happens. Also, there are parts where what is described seems either impossible or not following the rules the author described in the first book. The dystopian society is still interesting, as is the idea of the rebellion. And the question of whether having a society that dictates your life in exchange for peace and a life without sickness is appealing. But at the same time taking away your free will is unnerving. While, if the resistance wins, then they go back to chaos, which is what created the downfall of our society. It is this conundrum which keeps me interested enough to continue.
