Video Game Review: Uncharted 4. A Thief's End

  This is one of the best video games I have ever played in my life. Although I usually like playing open-world games (like Zelda, Skyrim, Witcher, etc.) my husband convinced me to play the Tomb Raider series and the Uncharted series. I started with Tomb Raider and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Usually, I am not a fan of shooting games. I much rather swing a sword at people, but I got used to Lara Croft's climbing and puzzle solving, and yes . . . shooting. Next, I had to try the Uncharted series because I understood it was pretty much like the Tomb Raider series. But I was wrong. I now understand why my husband recommended me to start Uncharted since the first in series. I am so happy I did. The gameplay was similar to Tomb Raider, but this game had so much more. The characters and the story were amazing. I just loved everything about Nathan Drake. He was funny, and brave, and nice. I just loved him. I loved the first three games, which I played back to back. Book Review: The House in the Cerulean Sea

 I had heard so much about this book that I had to see for myself what all the fuss was about. And boy was I disappointed when I began reading the first chapters. There is a style of writing I simply can’t connect to that a lot of people love. Books like the ones by Terry Pratchett, Christopher Moore, and others have a way with the prose that I can’t seem to enjoy. My husband LOVES Terry Pratchett (RIP), and the humorous books by Christopher Moore bring him much joy, but I… they aren’t for me. The only book I tried reading from Moore, I couldn’t finish (it's titled Lamb ), but I have read two of Pratchett’s books (so far, and I would like to read more only because my husband enjoys them so much). The style of writing is still not my favorite. Well, The House in the Cerulean Sea' s style reminded me a lot of those. But I continued on. And on.
