Video Game Review: Uncharted 4. A Thief's End
This is one of the best video games I have ever played in my life.
Although I usually like playing open-world games (like Zelda, Skyrim, Witcher, etc.) my husband convinced me to play the Tomb Raider series and the Uncharted series.
I started with Tomb Raider and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Usually, I am not a fan of shooting games. I much rather swing a sword at people, but I got used to Lara Croft's climbing and puzzle solving, and yes . . . shooting.
Next, I had to try the Uncharted series because I understood it was pretty much like the Tomb Raider series. But I was wrong.
I now understand why my husband recommended me to start Uncharted since the first in series. I am so happy I did. The gameplay was similar to Tomb Raider, but this game had so much more. The characters and the story were amazing. I just loved everything about Nathan Drake. He was funny, and brave, and nice. I just loved him.
I loved the first three games, which I played back to back. To be honest, I wouldn't have enjoyed the fourth installment as much as I did if I hadn't played the previous chapters. The gameplay remained mostly the same throughout the series (the graphics kept improving with the years, of course), and I guess the addition to Uncharted 4 was the use of a hook and pickax (which reminded me a lot of Tomb Raider, by the way).
The ending was just fantastic, but I felt a bit sad because I felt it marked the definite end of the Uncharted series (at least the one where Nathan Drake is the main character, who was who I liked following the most).
If you have never picked up this series, delay no more. You won't regret it. Although it isn't an open world game, it's so cool and wholesome, you'll love it anyway.
Cheers!
