Video Game Review: Spiderman — Miles Morales

Wow! Was I surprised with this game.

Not very long, but a lot of fun! I'd heard great things about Spiderman: Miles Morales, and I had been wanting to play it for some time. I bought it last year during the Black Friday Sale (it was less than $20, if I remember).

But there were other games in the queue before I got to it. I was NOT disappointed. It did take me a few days to get used to the controls, but once I got the hang of it, I enjoyed web-swinging, running up buildings, and taking care of bad guys without being seen. All fun. The energy combat twist was cool, too.

The game map is a map of Manhattan, and you need to complete the main mission mostly. There are side quests where you need to find all treasure chests or all sounds or whatever. Those are fun. You get to warp through the NYC subway system most of the time, which makes it faster to get from one place to the other, but swinging your way through the city is pretty neat, too.

The story is fantastic. Lately, I feel like these games are just a great movie that I get to be a part on. Spiderman: Miles Morales wasn't the exception. The ending was dramatic and perfect, and it even had a mid-credit scene!

I enjoyed this game so much, even if it was a tad short, but quality over quantity, right?

I highly recommend this one!

Cheers!
